+++ "Invisible Witnesses - Chile 1973-1990" is a
photo art project by DG. Reiß, Hamburg.
+++ In October 1997, in March and November 1998
Reiß photographed locations in Santiago where
regime opponents - journalists, trade unionists,
teachers, priests and members of resistance
groups - had been murdered or discovered dead.
+++ The result is a set of contemplative photos
showing cobblestones, walls, ground, stones, etc.
+++ Commemoration - Many witnesses have been and
are made invisible by the military structures.
Until now they have remained in hiding or have
disappeared in the authoritarian hierarchy of
orders, discipline and obedience. |

+++ Este trabajo conceptual de artisto de fotografia
de Hamburgo se empezo a realizar en Octubre de 1998
e terminò en Marzo e Noviembre del 1998 en Santiago de Chile.
+++ Como un investigador Reiss se fue a los lugares
donde el règimen de Pinochet impuso terror contra padres,
unionistas, intelectuales e otros
opositores e assim perseguiò concretamente 20
casos de crimenes muy brutales.
+++ Sus fotgrafias coloridas en grande formato
muestran - primera vista - lugares menos
espectaculares en sua banalidad cotidiana.
+++ En tablas de texto - una parte del trabajo
conceptual - estan escritas en breves palabras
las biografias de victimas e las circunstancias de
los crimenes violentos atraves de los cuales se
expresan los conocimientos sobre los seres humànos
muertos aqui e la compaciòn de sus distinos de esta manera.
+++ Estan tematizados règimen politico, violencia,
luto e recuerdos tristes. +++ |
